Plaeto

A dining product built by people who love tech, data, and food in equal measure. Plaeto set out to make the moment between a restaurant and its guest effortless, from the first scan of the menu to the last tap to pay.

The brief

A new habit to earn

Ordering and paying from your phone only works if it feels easier than waving down a waiter. The product had to feel obvious.

Two sides to please

Guests want speed and clarity. Restaurants want control and data. The brand had to speak to both at once.

Launching from zero

Plaeto was new. It needed a name, a face, and a story people would trust at the table.

What we did

Brand & identity

A confident, friendly identity that feels at home on a coaster, a poster, and a phone screen.

Menu & pay experience

We designed the flow guests actually use: scan, browse, order, pay, done.

Launch kit

Posters, coasters, and social templates to put Plaeto in front of diners from day one.

Our process

1

Discover

We got to know the product, the guests, and the restaurants it serves.

2

Position

We found the promise: dining made effortless, for both sides of the table.

3

Identity

We built the look: logo, colour, illustration, and a voice that fits a restaurant.

4

Product design

We shaped the menu-and-pay flow around how people actually order.

5

Launch

We packaged posters, coasters, and social so Plaeto could land in real venues.

Why we liked this one

Plaeto is the kind of product you want to get right, because people meet it at the table, hungry and in a hurry. The team came from tech, data, and food, and they cared about the small moments as much as the big ones.

We got to build the whole thing from a blank page: the name's look, the menu-and-pay flow, and the launch kit that put it in real venues. Good product, good people, and a brief with room to actually design.

If you have questions about this one, or just want to talk it through, let's talk.
